Welcome to the New Home of the SC QSO Party!

Significant changes have been made to the QSO party and we hope to see you in the fall! Special thanks to the Columbia Amateur Radio Club for sponsoring this event.

Some of the highlights:

  • New categories, including Rover, Multi-Op, and Single-Op.
  • Scoring changes to eliminate the requirement that SC stations work other SC for multipliers.
  • Elimination of the power multipliers to encourage those who have the ability to run high power to do so
  • New rover pages showing rover plans so that other ops will know when and where to look for those elusive rover activated counties

My thanks to noted contester John, K4BAI of SECC and GAQP fame for input into these rules. Indeed, if you have operated in the GAQP, then you’ll find many similarities between their rules and the new SCQP rules.

See you on the air!
